In the LEFA lab, we’ve always been obsessed with the sound of the original Octavia — the one Hendrix used to record Purple Haze.
That circuit had something truly unique: raw, unstable, and beautifully unpredictable.
The Cheesi Hendrix is our own take on that legend — a fuzz with an octave up, modified for a sharper, more aggressive upper octave.
No fuzz control — just volume and tone to shape the madness.

The new fuzz based on the great Green Russian from EHX.
After our trip to Europe this summer we got a batch of NOS Russian KT3102 green dot transistors and NOS KD522B diodes. The transistors and diodes from the original pedals from the 90's.
We have added a 3 band equalizer offering +/-20dB boost/cut in bass, mid and treble.
We have also included a blend control to recover your clean sound before the fuzz but also affected by the EQ control.
The fuzz circuit is cloned component for component from my personal Green Russian which has been among my favorite pedals and always on my board for years.
An unstoppable beast ready to destroy any amp it finds.

After months of testing in the laboratory, the new LEFA pedal is here.
LEFA AMARILLA
The fuzz circuit is based on the enigmatic and desirable “Animato” by the Japanese Human Gear with several modifications.
The PRE knob controls the gain of that first germanium stage and the POST control the second silicon stage.
TONE controls the tone of the fuzz, we have opened up the control range to achieve much more pronounced treble and deeper bass than the original pedal.
And here comes the good thing.
The input signal is divided into two, running both in parallel.
On the one hand, the volume of the distorted signal under the control of the DIRT knob and the clean signal under the control of CLEAN.
Think of a mixing console and in one of the faders you have the fuzz and the other the undistorted signal of the input instrument and you make the mix you want, with that you get absolute and unique control of the sound of your instrument with zero losses of bass. Total clarity of your signal, perfect for all types of situations, both in the studio and live.
But what happens when you run two signals in parallel. Sometimes certain frequencies cancel each other out by shifting them out of phase, which is why we included a phase shifter in the fuzz circuit. Change the phase of the pedal and you will discover new and incredible sounds.

MARIA LUISA IV FUZZ FACE DESTROYER

How exciting to present the Maria Luisa IV, the most bizarre and ambitious project I've ever worked on; I've partnered with my brother to manufacture a resurrection device. Javi Aznarez, a famous illustrator known for his work alongside Wes Anderson in the movie "The French Dispatch," the music video "Aline" by Jarvis Cocker, and publications in the New Yorker, Washington Post, Vogue, Elle, and thousands of other places. We've leveraged Lefa Pedals' technology to create a machine with a thunderous noise, a sound with which we can bring about a resurrection. If you want to play with your pet again, bring a loved one back to life, or make them change their will, you need a Maria Luisa IV.
The MARIA LUISA IV is a pedal based on the classic Fuzz Face with two silicon stages, highly modified to deliver an incredible amount of dark and evil gain. Like our grandmother whom my brother has brought back to life with this design.
When you switch to resurrection mode, you add an extra germanium stage to the output of the pedal. Many years ago, our family was closely associated with the SANYO company, so what better germanium transistor than the incredible 2SB186 NOS from SANYO. With this final germanium stage, you achieve more compression in saturation, accentuation of bass and treble, and a gut-wrenching and terrifying sound.
Inside the pedal, you have two trim pots to adjust the bias of the first silicon stage and the volume of the last germanium stage. In the lab, we've set them to the position we like the most, but feel free to do whatever you prefer with them.
This pedal has been designed for both guitar and bass, and since we've only obtained 20 transistors from 1980, only 20 unique and unrepeatable pedals have been manufactured. My son showed up one day, without being asked, with a cardboard box that he had turned into a pedal for me. I thought it was the best design in the world. So I came up with the idea of turning that gift into a real pedal, and since the name he had given was Punk, I couldn't think of anything more punk than Dee Dee Ramone's bass.
So we set out in Lefa's lab to create a pedal based on the distortion of the Ampeg SVT that is so characteristic of the Ramones sound.
A single knob, for that matter. All to the left you have a saturated valve sound boost. All to the right the wildest saturation possible.
Internally you have a trimpot that adjusts the output volume. Of course, the pedal comes with the maximum volume possible, but you can adjust the output to your liking.
Like all Lefa pedals, this is a limited series of 12 pedals. Once they are all sold out, no other pedal like this will be made in the future so run to our website to get one or send us a DM.

For 18 years I played bass with the Barcelona band The Milkers, and during all those years the big muff was one of my pedals that was almost always on, Maxi and Riki always told me to lower the volume when I activated it. I wasn't listening.
Years ago, a 1974 BIg Muff V4 OpAmp fell into my hands and I was amazed by the amount of bass it gave off.
MILKERS FUZZ is an exact recreation of that BIg Muff model and that was the pedal I played during our last concert a year ago.
Volume, tone and fuzz control along with the Plus switch that deactivates the tone control, giving you more definition in the mids and a little more gain in the output.

The idea came about due to the obsession with the incredible tone of Casey Maxwell's bass (for me, one of the best current noise rock bassists) from the demolishing band Whores.
Knowing that his sound was based on his beloved 250, we took that circuit as the basis for our inspiration along with the distortion channel of the Orange OB1. To this, we added an active 3-band equalization (Bass, mids, and treble) with a 20db boost/cut for each.
A true sonic destruction machine, on which we have invested many months of research and development to achieve what, for us, is the ultimate bass preamp. From valve saturation, aggressive distortion, to the most incredible and destructive fuzz.
Thanks to the folks at Disaster Area for helping us with the enclosures and to Casey Maxwell's for his inspiration. We are eager to hear the new Whores album.

An exact recreation of the mystical Bluebeard Fuzz by Sanford and Sonny. A unique fuzz pedal in its category, with a huge amount of bass frequencies and a tone control capable of reaching from the most cavernous and dark sounds to the most shocking highs.
But in the LEFA laboratory we don't stop at just that, that's why we have given it a little twist that we like so much.
The black pots are the classic controls of a standard fuzz pedal, Volume, tone and fuzz, but the blue control is where the magic appears. With the potentiometer all to the right you have the exact recreation of the classic Saford and Sonny pedal and with the control all the way to the left, you have the 100x100 of the Lefa version, with more bass, more mids, less compression and more volume.
Now you come and choose where you want to put the blue control, making the mix you want between the two versions of the circuit.
The options are endless, it all depends on the position of the blue control that you prefer. 50% BB and 50% LA, or 60% BB or 40% LA... All the control of the fuzz world in your hand.
For a long time I have been obsessed with the famous and rare Bluebeard Fuzz from Sanford and Sony.
A mystical and very difficult pedal to get but thanks to the incredible help of @theoandpedals he got me one from the UK and it is the pedal I have been working on for a month.

We are happy to announce the new long-run pedal from LEFA.
For more than a year we have been working hard in the LEfA laboratory to achieve the ultimate overdrive for bass. BALLBUSTER
We have worked hard on the construction of a pedal designed specifically for live performance, with simple and easy-to-access controls, without losing a pinch of quality in the sound and at an unbeatable price ($99)
Once the effect is activated, the instrument signal is split into two.
On one side you have a boost of the clean bass signal, with special emphasis on low frequencies, CLEAN control.
The other side of the signal is channeled to an aggressive hard clipping distortion circuit with an internal pump that varies from 9v to 18v to get much more headroom in your signal, Dirt control.
The DRIVE control gives you different textures on the distortion, from more serious saturations to more defined mids.
The Toogle switch gives you the option to switch between silicon diode or our favorite UV LED, getting much more gain less compression and more bass.
Internally you have 3 trimposts with which you can vary low, high and gain. Of course the pedal comes standard with those three trimpots all the way up, as we like it.
The MORE footswitch is a momentary switch that when pressed raises the dirt volume all the way up and once released it returns to the initial position of the potentiometer. This is designed for moments of maximum volume such as solos or whatever you can think of.
Inspired by the brutal sound of @j.bone.malone behind the bass of @cancerbats we have done many tests and variations in circuit to achieve this machine that demolishes low frequencies. It has been many months of hard work and testing, and we are finally able to launch to the market what until today is the best work of the LEFA PEDALS laboratories, wanting to give all bassists in the world the definitive weapon for the stages.

One goes straight into a mk2 fuzz with tone and bias control, then goes through a 3 band active eq, which you can turn the signal on or off.

The other part of the signal goes through a boost with independent volume control together with a phase inverter.

7 years ago when I moved to Seattle I met the world of blues and when I heard the entrance of a harmonica in a version of ¨Shake your hips¨ I fell in love with that instrument.
Jason Ricci was responsible for that sound, from that moment learning from Jason became an obsession. And when Jason personally asked me to make a fuzz for his harmonica it was one of the most epic moments of my life.
He asked me for a synth fuzz based on 80's keyboards and sent me the song "Talk to me, dance to me" by "Hot Hot Heat" as an example.
Working for months on the LM567 tone decoder chip, the magnificent FUZZY WHITTAKER synth fuzz for harmonica comes out of the LEFA laboratory.
With three different fuzz options: fuzz alone, fuzz plus synth, or just synth.
From fuzz gate sounds to impossible octaves and oscillations.
Armed with the tone control of one of my favorite fuzz ¨Green Russian Big Muff¨ and the ability to control oscillation by adding an expression pedal makes this pedal one of the masterpieces of our company.
